Rotate waist 90 degrees to right. As you do this,
pivot right knee and foot 90 degrees to right. Keep knee in line with
toe! Also, move hands out from body and "grab a ball" - right
hand high, palm down; left hand low, palm up. Some people observe a
ball of energy develop between their hands. Waist is turned 45 degrees
from forward.

Moving body in unison, shift weight onto right foot,
so weight is 50/50. Drive the weight shift straight down your bone into
the part of your foot directly below your ankle, slightly forward of
your heel. As if pushing a shovel into soil.
Shift weight "past center" even further
onto right foot, and prepare to pick up left foot. Weight should be
70/30 or more. Let left heel leave the ground.

Shift weight toward left foot until it's 50/50.
Move hips and torso in unison. While shifting forward, raise right arm
to "parry", hand vertical, as if to show your wristwatch to
your enemy. Right forearm should face squarely forward, at an angle
compared to chest.
