RETIRED POPULATIONS
According to Chinese Medicine, many ailments that
afflict the elderly are due to overall energy (Qi) and vital essence (Jing)
deficiencies. Common ailments such as lower back pain, weakness of the
knees, fatigue, and loss of hearing are due to decline in Kidney energy.
By tonifying the Kidney Qi, pain is minimized and energy level is increased.
Another condition that is commonly seen in the elderly population is a
syndrome known as blood stagnation. Conditions that indicate blood stagnation
include poor circulation, acute or chronic pains and Alzheimer's disease
and many others. Treatment plans that include acupuncture, Chinese herbs,
diet therapy and exercises can successfully treat these conditions.
