CANDIDA
Millions of men and women have excess yeast and fungal
proliferation that cause, directly or indirectly, a significant number
of existing health problems or conditions. Candida yeast infection, both
digestive and systemic, is a social and medical dilemma without easy access
to answers or long lasting remedies. If the candida is not completely
removed and/or the body protected, it will continue to grow and will reduce
the body's resistance to a host of physical aliments and complications.
The devastation and discomforts endured by the body
due to these insidious and stubborn yeast and fungal imbalances, is immeasurable
and in most cases the means of its removal or control is inadequate. Going
from doctor to doctor and product to product can be frustrating and emotionally
draining. It requires special attention and knowledge to overcome a serious
to severe yeast infection. John has successfully treated many cases of
yeast and fungal imbalances, usually severely complicated by other problems.
Candida infections can manifest as fungal infections
of the skin or nails, thrush, upper respiratory, sinus, cystitis and other
vaginal infections. Candida Albicans is a yeast that naturally lives in
our body that can become out of control when our immune system is compromised.
Prolonged antibiotic and oral contraceptive usage, stress and diabetes
are major causes of candidiasis problems.
Chinese Medicine diagnoses candida infections based
on the individual's signs and symptoms. A patient with vaginal itching
with white discharge, fatigue and loose stools is diagnosed with dampness
and Qi deficiency. A patient with severe itching, yellow discharge, irritability
and dark urine with red tongue and yellow greasy coating has a damp-heat
condition. Depending on the diagnosis different herbal formulas and acupuncture
treatment is utilized to eliminate the symptoms of candida and strengthen
the body's immune system to prevent reoccurrence. Although the diagnoses
vary, the root cause of patterns associated with candidiasis is dampness,
in which either the Spleen is too weak to transform dampness or there
are too many damp pathogens that enter the body. Eliminating damp forming
foods such as sugar, dairy and wheat are first steps in eliminating candida.
